Now Playing: ALMOST, MAINE
September 11-21 @ FPAC
by John Cariani
"A really funny, really sad romance."
"On a cold, clear, moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. As the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, Almost's residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend-almost-in this delightful midwinter night's dream." (from Dramatist's Play Service)

Celebrating our 25th
In addition to a great season of shows, we're celebrating our 25th season with special events and activities throughout the year. As part of the celebration we are delivering cupcakes to a few of the supporters and friends who have sustained us through the years. So far these "cupcake bombs" have been delivered to Freeport Community Services and to Alice Pelletier and Mainely Hair. Be on the lookout for crazy theater people bearing cupcakes!
Save the date! Freeport Players alums and their guests are welcome at our 25th Reunion Party on August 17 at Winslow Park in South Freeport. Details coming soon.
Freeport Players provides opportunities for local amateur actors to perform in roles often reserved for professionals. We involve members of our community in all aspects of the process, drawing on their talent and enthusiasm to create the "magic" of theater. Our volunteers are compensated for their time with fun, creative challenges, the chance to learn about the craft of theater, and, often, bonds of friendship that endure long after the curtain closes.
Your support makes a difference!
We are really proud of the work our volunteers do and we are grateful for the things our friends donate or loan to us to put on stage. But even with all that time and good will on the balance sheet, we rely on donations from people like you, people who have enjoyed what we do and know how important Freeport Players are to the community. As we strive to meet increasing costs and improve the experience we offer participants and audiences, we look to you for support.
To make a donation, you may either use the convenient, secure PayPal button below (you will be prompted to enter a donation amount), or mail your check or money order to Freeport Community Players, PO Box 483, Freeport, ME 04032.
