The 39 Steps (logo)Announcing the Cast of THE 39 STEPS
We're really excited about the cast of this summer's production of John Buchan's THE 39 STEPS. Our intrepid actors will be getting a two-hour cardio workout in this fast-paced sendup of the Hitchcock classic and the thriller genre.

The 39 Steps stars:
Chris Holt as Richard Hannay
Chelsea Cook as Annabella, Margaret, and Pamela
Bill McDonough and Eric Worthley as the "clowns" who play all the other characters

They are directed by Dan Burson, whose directorial credits include Mary's Wedding at Portland Stage Company, I Hate Hamlet at Freeport Players, and most recently Swimming in the Shallows at Dramatic Repertory Company.

As we strive to meet increasing costs and improve the experience we offer participants and audiences, we look to you for support.

Our Mission

Freeport Players provides opportunities for local amateur actors to perform in roles often reserved for professionals. We involve members of our community in all aspects of the process, drawing on their talent and enthusiasm to create the "magic" of theater. Our volunteers are compensated for their time with fun, creative challenges, the chance to learn about the craft of theater, and, often, bonds of friendship that endure long after the curtain closes.

BECOME A SPONSOR
Freeport Community Players relies on the generous support of area businesses to -- as we say -- "keep the ticket prices low while we keep the quality high." In addition to our thanks, sponsors receive free tickets to share with employees and customers, ads in show programs, listings on posters and on our web site, and mention during the "curtain speech" at each show.
