Freeport’s history comes alive at our Annual Ghost Tour!
We hope you’ll join us this year as the Freeport Historical Society and Freeport Players join forces to bring you the ghostly voices of Freeport Blacksmiths and Storekeepers at our annual cemetery tour.
Tours will run at 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30 in the Woodlawn Cemetery on West Street on Thursday, 10/25; Friday, 10/26, and Saturday 10/27. If it rains, the evening tours move inside to the First Parish Congregational Church at 40 Main Street for a one slide-tour at 7:00.
On Sunday, 10/28, we’ll have a special presentation, inside at the First Parish Congregational Church at 3:30 PM. If walking around in a graveyard at night isn’t for you, join us on Sunday! Tour size is not limited on Sunday.
If you do one of our outside tours, please dress for the weather and for a walk-about in a cemetery! We’ll only adjourn to the First Parish Congregational Church if the weather gets really bad.
Tickets are $12 per person general admission; $10 per person for Freeport Historical Society Members; $5 per person for anyone 12 & under. Tours are limited to about 15 participants for each tour so reservations are recommended.
